If used due to pain or weakness, it is rewardable, as it facilitates proper ṣalāh and preserves humility before Allah.
If you’re healthy: It’s still permissible, but a regular flat mat is preferable. Extra padding without need can be disliked (makrūh) if it becomes unnecessary luxury or distracts from khushū‘.
